Different forms of Reiki

There are several forms or streams of Reiki. You will more commonly hear of the Usui or Usui Shiki Ryoho form of Reiki, but there is also Karuna ™ Reiki, Natural Reiki, Osho Keo Reiki, Seichim and Sekhem - of Ancient Egyptian origin. Raku - Kei, Tibetan Reiki, Radiance Technique - American counterpart for Usui shiki Ryoho, Reiki Jin Kei Do - Buddhist, Men Chhos Reiki - Buddhist, Seichem - not to be confused with Seichim, Tera Mai Reiki and also more recently Quantum Touch.

Karuna is a Sanskrit word which is used in Hinduism and Buddhism, it translates as "any action taken to diminish the suffering of others," or "compassionate action."

When individuals experience enlightenment, they see all beings as one. Therefore, it is natural to them to extend Karuna or "empathetic action to everyone whoever they are without treating them any differently because we are all one.

As we help each other in this wonderful harmonizing process, everyone benefits from the beneficence that is extended to all. Karuna is not only extended to others out of love, but also, because it is an entirely commonsense thing to do. In the same way that you would want to heal your own wounds, you would also want the wounds of others to heal. There can be no other way of thinking in the practice of reiki

Therefore as you develop Karuna Reiki® in yourself, not only are you helping others, but you also benefit by becoming more approachable and aware to the Karuna being sent by other enlightened beings. Thus your health improvement is quickened, more complete and with better results.

Natural Reiki offers a simple approach to all that is taught to ensure you have a clear understanding of what you are doing and why. Natural Reiki deems the less ritual there is in the process the better, as after all is said and done, no ritual can enlighten you, only awareness can.

In line with many other forms of Reiki who now recognise that the 'attunement' process is an 'affirmation' of intent rather than being a neccesity to perform healing, the ritual element has been removed altogether, focusing instead on understanding how and why Reiki works and the nature of energy, therefore Natural Reiki places the ability to heal and explore our spiritual nature right back where it belongs, with you.

The Osho Neo Reiki, developed by Osho Rajneesh in 1988, includes more powerful meditations and also the attunement. The Osho Neo Reiki also provides an opportunity to heal any one at a faster rate due to being some 150 times more powerful than the Traditional Reiki and The Karuna Reiki.

Quantum Touch, which seems to be used in association with Reiki, would seem to turbo boost a therapists existing Reiki skills, by way of controlling breathing. It would appear to be extremely potent - drawing on the 'Chi' energy as before only in a seemingly more concentrated form.
